On Sunday, 21st June 2025, members of the Whittlesea Interfaith Network (WIN) were warmly welcomed by the Australian Nepalese Multicultural Centre (ANMC) in Diggers Rest for a special visit that celebrated cultural exchange, understanding, and shared community values.
Led by WIN President Gurinder Kaur and Treasurer Dr. Sarvesh Soni, the group included interfaith representatives and supporters from various faith traditions. The visit provided a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Nepalese culture, religious diversity, and the inspiring work ANMC is doing to support multicultural communities in Melbourne’s north.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Amrita from NNCI and Suvi from ANMC for organising this engaging and insightful visit. From the rich history of Nepal to the centre’s vision for future growth, the discussions highlighted the power of cross-cultural collaboration in building a harmonious and inclusive society.
WIN members were especially impressed by ANMC’s community-driven initiatives and commitment to empowering the next generation through education, sports, and leadership development. It was uplifting to see such passion for multicultural harmony in action.
We look forward to deepening our relationship with ANMC and continuing to work together towards our shared mission of promoting mutual respect, interfaith dialogue, and community unity across the City of Whittlesea and beyond.
Together, we grow stronger through understanding.
