Whittlesea Interfaith Network Members were delighted to celebrate Harmony Day with Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio MP in the Mill Park electorate.
The entertainment for the event included cultural dance & singing performances.
Harmony Day began in 1999, coinciding with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
It’s about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all regardless of cultural or linguistic background.
It gives us all the opportunity to say no to racism and embrace our multicultural society.
Multicultural food was served at the end of the event.
